If I was the Leader of the World
70Things would Change
If I was the leader of the world things would be done much differently.
I would start by focusing all attention on ensuring access to clean drinking water and fresh food to world populations.
Education for everyone would be put into place. People would be educated in areas that interested them. The focus of education would change to recognize and develop skills that people naturally gravitate to and that are needed by society.
The monetary system would change into a barter system. The exchange of goods and services would replace the need for cash or credit. People's talents would be recognized and honoured.
Manufacturing would be very limited. The unnecessary products our world is filled with would be replaced with food production, health enhancement tools, and products that actually better the quality of life for the whole world and not just a few.
No more production of products that deplete our resources and strip the earth of its natural health and beauty. Respect for the land and water resources would be top priority. Nothing would be taken out of the earth without careful consideration of the state of health the damage would cause to the planet.
A plan for world self-sustainability would be realized.
The main focus of the populations and governments would be to care for the people, animals and planet, especially natural resources.

A Balanced Society
War would be no more. There would be no need for it to be a consideration.
All religions would be honoured: religion is a means of communicating to God. No one has the right to control how people communicate to God. Different countries, different locations use different languages to communicate to each other, there is no difference.
No violence would be tolerated. The time of hate would come to an end. The world needs to relearn to love and work together peacefully and it would be my goal to facilitate this new era.
I would work on realizing a more balanced society where the pressures are removed and living life would be about contributing positively to the life experiences of those that surround us and those that don't.
I believe that if people are loved, respected and challenged to help take action and contribute in a positive way, amazing things can happen. I would try to set the wheels in motion to unite the people of the world and make it a better place for everyone.
No one would go without and those that needed help would get it. Our sick, disabled, elders and motherless children would all be loved and cared for. There would be a place for everyone; no one would be homeless, there is no need.
There would be time for everyone to be happy.
If only I were the leader of the world ...

You lost me at bartering system, nice thoughts though... Voted up, Kevin
We always want the best but in life, this only exists in dreams. It's very unfortunate. Good hubs!
It is just a dream, but a good one. Unfortunately this would never happen. At least your putting it out there instead of complain, complain, complain, which is what most people do. Vote up.
Worth reading if only as a reminder of the better things in life; nice job and a good topic. What I like best is it is original.
No, you're not the only one. I love a good dream. Much better than the nightmare we often live in. I'm not sure we'll ever see the light through the trees but this type of thinking would certainly offer a glimmer.
This is a nice dream.
You write, "The monetary system would change into a barter system. The exchange of goods and services would replace the need for cash or credit."
Cash and credit are simply an advanced form of barter. If I make shoes and you want them; but you make butter, which I don't want; but Joe over there wants butter and makes kites, which I want; money is simply a way to make everybody happy. The advent of money is not sinister in and of itself. Money in fact produced modern civilization. You don't want to live in the jungle do you?
You write, "Manufacturing would be very limited."
"Manufacturing" simply means "made by man." Do you want to dress in skins and live out in the elements?
You write, "War would be no more. There would be no need for it to be a consideration."
Well, great. So when another Hitler comes along, what do we do? Just roll over and die?
Your dream world is awesome. It is just not the one we are living in, nor will it ever be. You did describe Heaven quite well though. And that is where I will one day live for eternity.
Thank you. :)
Every week,I would go to Africa and see if they have lots of food, and if not I would give them more.
and make sure the taxes are given to the people who need it. this is from a young girl of 10 years.
